Pet Policy
We would like to welcome you to Wayfinder Newport and we are glad you will be staying in one of our pet-friendly rooms. Let's review some important guidelines for your stay, to make it a great experience for all!
- A fee of $50 per night, up to two dogs will be incurred in addition to the room rate.
- Please don't bring along too many of your furry friends as we can only have two pets per room.
- When outside of your guest room, dogs must stay on leash at all times. Pets can only use the assigned pet area.
- The pet owner must clean up after pets and utilize pick-up bags, which are provided in the pet area. Picking up after yourself ensures healthy conditions for all pets and people and it's the local law.
- Unfortunately, due to Rhode Island Department of Health rules and restrictions, only verified service animals are allowed in any public area, which includes but is not limited to the dining area, swimming pool area, meeting/banquet rooms, fitness room, laundry room, and non-pet friendly guest rooms.
- Excessive barking or whining that leads to guest dissatisfaction will result in:
- Room relocation after two complaints
- Cancelation of the reservation on the third complaint - If the pet is not quiet and we receive three noise complaints you will be asked to make alternative arrangements elsewhere. At the time of cancelation, the guest will be charged for the nights stayed and the current nights Room & Tax. Additional fees may apply should the disruptions lead to compensation to the disturbed guests.
- For the well-being of the animal and comfort of other guests, no pets can be left unattended in rooms at any time. It is also vital that a valid contact number of one owner is given and this number is monitored at all times.
- Be aware that extra fees may be incurred should there be significant additional cleaning required or lost revenue due to excessive damage.
- By the pet owner signing the agreement, you agree to abide by these pet policies, and agree to be responsible for any damage to property and/or personal injury to hotel employees and/or guests that you cause.
